position of "Treasurer/Executive Secretary". This position will be
responsible for a wide range of duties related to the oversight of the
association's business office, especially with respect to the
financial and administrative functions of the Association. These

Executive Bilingual Secretary with extensive experience and knowledge in organizing,
coordinating and providing accurate, timely and successful administrative, logistic and
confidential secretarial support. Self-starter, able to work independently, handle
simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines, set priorities, and work with a wide variety of
people of different cultures. Fluent in Spanish and English; adequate knowledge of

The Treasurer/Executive Secretary is a non-voting member of the Board
of Directors and an ex-officio voting member of the Development,
Finance, Membership, and Publications Committees, and the Marketing
Subcommittee. The Treasurer/Executive Secretary works closely with
these committees, the Association's administrative office, the
President, and the Board to carry out the business of the Association.
The position requires a dynamic, well-organized individual with at
lreviews the performance of the
Treasurer/Executive Secretary annually. The President reappoints upon
successful review and the desire of the incumbent to continue. This
appointment will commence at the conclusion of the annual meeting in
New York in February 2001.
